FUNDRAISER FOR PAULA THRUSH

Thanks to everyone for supporting Paula. We raised close to 3000 dollars, plus it was a wonderful event for all concerned.

VISIONQUEST, PROSPERITY...AND A LABYRINTH

On Sunday, March 21st, we will be talking about vision, and reviewing all the great accomplishments of our Visionquest weekend held a few years ago. We held a vision then and many good things have happened since then.

Then, on Palm Sunday, March 28th, there will be ONE SERVICE ONLY THAT SUNDAY AT 10 am. After church, we will be holding a one hour Community Dialogue (town hall meeting) to talk about a church-wide project to build YOUR PROSPERITY, THE CHURCH'S PROSPERITY, AND TO BUILD A LABYRINTH. The dialogue will be open to all, not just members.

Self Recognition From the Heart Space

Chris Franks will teach you how to go into the heart space, and invite the ego into the heart space. The class will also cover practices to nourish both the physical and spiritual heart. 20 dollars per class or 65 in advance for all four classes. Thursday nights in March, from 6:30 til 8:30 pm. Half proceeds go to the church.

Ministries to the Homeless

Thank you for continuing to bring in pop top cans of stew, etc. for our daily outreach to the homeless here at the church.

Welcome Home Vets: Bring in the Goods

Please bring in any items that would benefit our soldiers, male and female, transitioning from Iraq or Afghanistan through Germany. Items such as toiletries, bedding, clothes, or whatever you think they would like. We will have a big box here in the sanctuary and then coordinators Tom Rader and Ron Dixon will ship the box off to Germany.

Extended Families Ministry: Next meeting

The next meeting of the extended family ministry group will be March 20th at 3:00 Diana Grandy's home at 1031 Planters Place Mt. Pleasant. It's a pot luck and people can call for directions 843-437-9798.

Interested in being in an "Extended Family Group"? These groups are open to all families, singles, couples, or any family arrangement. The purpose of the groups is to meet together as a group once a month at an agreed upon house or venue for an informal pot luck. And on Holidays meet for an extended family Easter, Christmas etc. dinner. Never spend a holiday meal alone again! These groups will also allow for the deepening of intimate relationships, connecting over various issues, and networking. YOUTH MINISTRY NEWS

Our very own Olyvia Farris was elected an officer of the Southeast Region's YOU! Congratulations, Olyvia! Our sponsors and YOU'ers had a AWESOME time at their big rally at Camp Warren Willis, Florida.

Ever thought of teaching our young'uns? You only need to do so once or twice per month and so you don't miss out on church, you get a free cd of the services. Please call Denise Landhan or Alexandria Ravenel for more info.

New Membership Class

If you are interested in becoming a member of the church, please continue coming to services to get to know us, read one of the three basic texts found in our bookstore for new members, and then come to the class on Saturday, March 27th at 9:30 AM til noon, with lunch provided by the church. Then, on the following Sunday morning, we do your spiritual baptism, (not of water or in the traditional sense) and you are welcomed as a member of our community. Call the church to register.
