Meet the Minister

Rev Sarah Scott Putnam is the Spiritual leader of Unity of Charleston. She joined the Unity team as the Assistant minister in April of 2019. Prior to coming to Unity, she was the Spiritual Director for The Namaste Center in the BlueRidge mountains. She is ordained and has been in the ministry field formally since 2017, but informally throughout most of her adult life. She is now working towards Unity ordination to add to her prior studies, and is enjoying being both the student and the teacher.

One of her great loves is helping inspire and encourage others along their spiritual journey, knowing that there are many paths to the One.

She has been called a Visionary and a modern day mystic helping others tap in, tune in and offer their individual gifts out into the world. She works with the understanding that our gifts do not compete with each other, but instead add to the diversity and colorful tapestry of the collective whole. This allows us to show up as the infinite and unique expressions of Divine Love that we are, creating a whole and perfect world.

She is a poet, an artist and a true lover of life, gathering her inspiration from all of nature. From the watery edge of Mother ocean, to the earthy mountain tops of Father sky and all the wilding spaces in-between, her mantra is, “What a blessing to simply be here now”!
